I get mine ready the night before, so tonight I have put diced pork, sweet corn, red onion, new potatoes, 3 peppers, mushrooms and bbq cooking sauce. It’s all in the pot in the fridge so in the morning I just need to put it on.
I love my slow cooker

Ooh! I'm going to have to get a recipe book and a timer. I'd better get the slow cooker first though!

We go out and leave ours. Some meals need a lot shorter time than others.

I leave mine on all day (leave at 8.30am and home around 6.30/7pm) and never had a problem... also never managed to burn anything either (which believe me is more of a miracle! ). Found that anything I have made in it has always tasted good (except for smoked ham... OMG it was so salty ).

Steak and sausage casserole for tea tonight... yummers

Hx

We use a timer plug on ours as well, really handy.

I love that using the slow cooker means we can buy the cheapest meat and they still come out tasting amazing. This lamb recipe is good. Also rice pudding and cinnamon buns are delicious from the slow cooker too

I leave mine on when out. I thought that was the point.

I would like to try a timer plug as mine is often on from 7-7. But that does worry me so ita goo to see someone else uses one.

Might invest and try it when im in one day.

Slow cooker liners are brilliant as well. No more washing up.

I even put a full chicken in mine. Screw up 4 balls of foil to rest it on and then just pop it on top to cook. Obviously there is no beautiful crispy skin, but the chicken is so tender - in fact the whole thing is likely to fall apart if you are not very careful. Lovely chicken dinner midweek.
