Don’t do it. Don’t pay them any money at all. Any CIPD course attached to an accredited university or college doesn’t take a mere 3 months and happen to start at the date of her employment starting, especially at this time whilst coronavirus is causing so much disruption.
Also - for companies that don’t pay the cost of courses but require employees to complete them, the employee would usually pay the provider themselves directly, not give the money to the employer to just pass on. That way, your qualification is all yours. Sorry, but it just sounds really unusual and I would be very wary. |

OP, Google the company, see what's being said online. As others have said, and, appears your instinct is also telling you, it doesn't sound legit; lots of red flags waving.

Try to look for them on glass door. It will give an idea of what their staff say about them. It does sound odd I have to say.

She should just call the company direct and ask about the email.

That’s the thing apart from these emails and the guy whose been phoning her there is no phone number. It’s supposedly a Marketing Company but their website is very obscure. When she asked for the office address he just said 2 minutes from Liverpool Street. From where we live this is ideal for commuting also she said she’d be happy with a salary of £22,000 and the offered her £26,000.
She emailed them this morning and said she had decided to decline the offer due to current climate and reservations with the contract. |

OP, from your update there are even more suspect things going on. Your DD has made the right decision; best wishes to her. 😊

Glad she has declined.
Never Never give out your bank details unless you know 100% that it is Not a scam. Had she gone ahead and given her bank details then got scammed she would have been liable having given out those details willingly.
