October vs August

We are going to Disney World Florida in 2019, 2 adults and 2 children age 8 and 10 staying onsite

Our only real option was 2 weeks in August due to the school holidays, however hearing rumours the kids school maybe extending the October half term from next year from 1 week to 2 weeks, this obviously gives us a different option.

Will there be much price difference between going in October as opposed to August? i.e will it be cheaper?

Not sure, but if I had the choice of months, I'd go in October, the weather is still lovely and not as humid, plus the parks are awesome with Halloween stuff, and you have the awesome food and wine festival at Epcot..
