Virgin Atlantic Twilight Checkin Time changes March 2020

Hi all

Just been speaking to Virgin Atlantic regarding my booking for June this year and they’ve advised that Twilight Checkin times at LGW will be changing sometime during March 2020 and will then be 2pm - 6pm. Just a heads up if you’re planning ahead.

Oh bu**er. Was planning on this end of March but the train doesn’t get in til after 6!

2 till 6 , that's ridiculous, that would mean most people would have to take an extra days leave to use that facility

Give them a call to double check the official start date of the new times. I was advised it’s due to staffing. But do get in touch with VA to confirm the start date.

Thank you for that, we,re flying from gatwick for the first time, (usually do Manchester, but flights were ridiculously cheaper from gatwick) staying at the Hilton, with purple parking & doing twilight check in for the first time, so thank you for the info

This seems like a crazy change to me. The idea was to make it more convenient for passengers but as others have said will mean leaving work or school early in order to check in day before which defeats the object of the exercise.

Hope they are not changing Manchester as well we plan to use this in March.

Virgin will also need to change the name from Twilight to Afternoon check in if this goes ahead.

We can get there for before 6... but may be tight!
