Taking Teddy To Tennessee Day 7

Today was the day we were going to Dollywood for the day and then the Lumberjack Feud in the evening.
Dollywood didn't open till 10am today so managed to grab a bit of a lie in and got the trolley to Dollywood arriving around 9.15.

They let us through so far at 9.30 and then had to wait to go to rides at 10. The way we went they were filming a movie so it was cordoned off but we were told there was no other way to get to the rides as all other parts were cordoned off to.

Anyway rope still didn't drop by 10.15 so then someone else said u could go round the other way as it was open 😠
Why they couldn't have said before I don't know so made our way round and managed to ride the 2 big coasters with no queue as everybody else waited to see if rope would drop so we beat the crowds 😊

After doing the 2 coasters we went for a wander round and stopped for a milkshake again forgot photo of this was so nice tho but DW managed to spill hers all over the table and floor 😧
However the hosts there as they call them instead of cast members were so lovely and gave her another one.

We then wandered up to the train station as we hadn't really looked round that area stopping at one of the craft stalls there the lady asked if we had seen Dolly as she was in the park filming for the movie that was being shot and told us where she was .
We hurried along and bagged a spot where we could watch and managed to get some photos of Dolly 😀 this had to be one of the highlights of the holiday.

She was singing Coat of Many Colours the movie is a tv movie going to be shown on NBC in December so will have to try and find it somewhere.

By this time we were feeling a bit peckish so shared some chilli cheese kettle chips they were yummy and we even remembered to take a photo.

Wandered round a bit more and went on the Ferris wheel by the time we had done this decided to call it a day at Dollywood and headed for the trolley to go back and get ready to go out to the Lumberjack Feud dinner show.

We got to Lumberjack feud around 7.30 and shown to our seats. It was a really good show the food was ok not fantastic but you don't really go for the food.

We loved the lumber dogs they were ace so enthusiastic in taking part they obviously loved doing it

The Lumberjacks were good as well

We still loved the dogs best not really a good picture but they sure could jump high and far

The show finished just before 10 and then we headed back home for the night. I almost forgot after DW spilling a milkshake today I was not to be left out and ended up spilling a whole glass of Pepsi all over myself just as the show started.😠
