Firstly these are very strong painkillers and anti-inflammatory medication so i hope your wife is ok.
You shouldn't have a problem but as these are a controlled substance, i would suggest you get a letter from your GP or consultant. Bring the original packaging and prescription as well. They will probably swab them but this is standard especially as the oral morphine is a liquid. Pieces of other advice include ask consultant for your ICD-10 code always very helpful to have on hand. Take a piece of paper with alternative names for these medications. This can be a big help as paracetamol (acetaminophen in USA) will be much easier to find if you need to get any of these replaced. You shouldn't have any troubles in all honestly like i have said before we have never had a problem going to USA, and we take a lot of the same drugs.

Thank you very much, for both the good wishes and the advice. Life is a constant struggle with bad pain like that and hopefully she will cope ok being out there. To be honest I don't know how she copes from day to day.
We will get an appointment to see the doctor to get a letter and hopefully all will go well from there. |

I have 9 meds on repeat which I have to take very day. Two of these are for lymphoedema pain - cocodamol and naproxen. I don't take a doctor's letter - just a copy of the repeat slip. I also have to carry flucloxacillin antibiotics in case I get cellulitis - the first time i got that I ended up being rushed into hospital and put straight on IV antibiotics. Now I have to carry antibiotics in case it hits which it can do any time. I know the initial symptoms now though so can hit it with the abs straight away.

Hi, I don’t put my inhalers in the clear bag so I thought I’d check. The following 3 websites should give you the information you need. But in general the advice here as been good and aligns with the rules.
