We were really disappointed with RPR Club level last year as the old Club level lounge was being refurbished and we had to use a side room in the Islands Dining room instead. One of our main reasons for Club is that we can use the lounge while our two DD's are using the room and get some space from them - as well as the free food/drinks of course.
We complained and they actually gave us a refund of our Club Level upgrade price as compensation for the inconvenience. It wasn't the same though... Would be interested to hear if anyone has been since and if the new RPR lounge is in the same place as the old one, and if it's any better?

£40 a night for im assuming at least 2 of you?
breakfast alone in/around universal will easily be £20 each imo add in evening drinks(beer wine fizz)/snacks, cakes @20:00, water ,pop, crisps etc you can take to room/parks we used to head back to HRH for the couple of hours drinks/snacks then back into parks, the mrs a bit more adventurous after a couple of proseccos... and your on level 7 dont think the rooms are any better (could be wrong? but its nice to be away from the crowds etc so in conclusion , yes its well worth it imo |

We are trying to take this good suggestion and book an upgrade to club (if the price is right).
We have tried contacting Loews Universal direct by email and after 3 days have received no reply. We have tried contacting the RPH direct, but after 2 days (nearly) , we have received no reply. Next step would be a phone call, but I fear that this will merely get me a reception desk. Does anybody have any good advice ? ( we booked on Expedia).

I have phoned and spoken to RPR. Once they ascertained that the booking was through a third party (Expedia) , they informed that they could not amend it. This can only now be done at check in. She could not give a price, but said she had flagged the booking with our request.
Not ideal!

Can you cancel your booking with no penalty with Expedia and start again or have you paid upfront ?
