I always drive the I4 and nip onto the Beachline but that's not the best route for you.
Mick will be on shortly to advise. The airport returns are busy busy! It's like a factory and as you pull in to the ground floor parking area Guys with illuminated wands direct you to the line they want you to use. Be careful as there are loads of people milling around. Pull up, put the keys on the dash and sort yourself out slowly. It's your gear so make sure you take your time and retrieve it all. Don't forget your contract in the glove box! Triple check the handheld device receipt they give you is the right amount. Either $0 or more if you have opted to pre pay for fuel/child seats etc. Never walk away until you have the receipt and the car is empty of your stuff.

Mick is going out shortly for the rest of the morning but if it were me I'd get across to the 417 either via Celebration Avenue at j2 or a bit further north via Osceola Parkway. Six and two threes really.
Former will cost $1 on access (unmanned so have four quarters ready) then two manned at $1.75 each. The off ramp at MCO is quite elevated - don't try it at 60mph -Joan closes her eyes I think Mick EDITED Toll cost raised from $1.50 to $1.75 after another Dibber's post today

PS You can return to either garage A or B. B is the first you reach from 417

We take the 192 to Celebration and then the 417 right up to the Airport, we find that there is much less traffic going this way.
From there you just follow the signs into the airport and for Car Rental Return, after that it's all signposted for you and Alamo have a really easy operation inside the car park, just pull up and hand over your keys. Great advice above about remembering your stuff ( we lost some expensive sunglasses that way once) and checking your receipt to make sure no hidden charges have been applied.

We do the same route as Sue
We have done it for years. Sat Nav will take you other ways so turn it off.
