OMG that comment is class. I dont think you could even explain why to someone like that.
Of course we all know its to do with the fact that the Sun rotates around the Earth. The fireworks in the lower half of Earth tend to get set of prematurely as they fall out of there holders as they are pointing downwards, unlike in the northern hemisphere where the fireworks point upwards and stay in there holders.
