DH is a roofer and is getting excited for the rush of work! So it will probably not happen!

I live in Whitstable along the Kent coast. Not sure what to expect yet. Local map showing the worst along Dover and Deal and up towards Canterbury at the moment. Overcast and very calm now. Will check in with son over the weekend as he lives in Dover and travels to work in Canterbury.

Will just be a normal ‘2 pegger’ for us in Orkney 😄 Luckily I’m off to Lisbon for a week for some sun and made it away before the ferries are cancelled !

I am planning a visit to Orkney - my Mother was born there and I haven’t been back for years and although I remember Kirkwall I don’t recall visiting her island where we still have a but n Ben in the family! It looks beautiful and peaceful |
