DOLPHIN HOTEL - Photos and Info

Jo - I knew they did a pirate hunt from the Grand Floridian but I didn't think you could sail from the Grand Floridian to the EPCOT waterways? You learn something every day, lol!

Madeline - yes we were lucky to get a balcony as we hadn't paid for one, but the guy who checked us in, it was 9.30pm at night, searched for a good while to find us one when I asked.

Thanks for the photos and info. I hadn't considered the Dolphin for 2010, even though both DH and DS9 fell in love with it when we had a look around in 06, think it's now a strong contender for POFQ !

ali - we like POFQ and have stayed there a couple of times, but we would have to have 2 rooms there now, as the teens can no longer share a bed, which works out more expensive than one room at the Dolphin. I love the light rooms with the floor to ceiling windows at the Dolphin as well, with the fab views.

Great pics! I've only visited the Dolphin to eat at Shulas but it looked very posh!

Sorry Sarah - I've done that before I think, I just couldn't remember which of the female names was yours!

Susie - all the times we've stayed there the only restaurant we've eaten in is the italian in the Swan, it used to be called Palios but it's had a name change recently. Having two teens we tend to stick with either Picabus or The Fountain - once they are paying their own bills we may get to the better restaurants! The Dolphin is a stunning hotel, but with a relaxed atmosphere - it's a nice mix of park-goers and conference guests. I always feel sorry for the conference guests having to work in such a lovely place, though some of the events we've seen have been amazing, especially when they decorate the beach area in the evening with lights etc - never seen anything like it in this country for a works do!
