BA flydrive into FLL

We have booked BA Flydrive into FLL

Car hire is Group S with Avis

We have always booked car hire direct with Alamo and completed on line check in/ skip the counter which is a doddle!

Will I have to go to the car hire counter for this one ?

Also, not clear on the level of insurance - it appears to have everything we need but I have heard horror stories from companies like Thomson that when you get to the car hire desk you have to pay additional ££ to have the right insurance

With BA and Avis all insurances are paid sign up for the ex with BA and link your
Car Hire with Avis preferred.this allows you go the garage.your credit card will
be swiped against other charges.The car will be full of gas just return the car full.

FYI - The receptions for all car rental companies at FLL are offsite and you will need to hop onto a bus.
