What is your Disney park hopping strategy?

Do you do one park a day? Do you hop? Why? If you are on site do you stay at the EMH park that day?

Need help informing my own decisions, I think I’ve put too much hopping into my itinerary and worried I’m overcomplicating it!

Surely our depends on your own wishes and desires?

On Monday were did AK & HS, did a full buffet, every ride we wanted and where finished by 7:30.

Yesterday we did MK & Epcot, another full buffet, again all rides, watched the fireworks left at 9:30.

2 exhausting days but for us that's disney done.

We don't really hop... We have been before a few times now, so do not feel the need to cram it all in, and we tend to have 14 day ultimate ticket so we can spread our park days to suit.

We tend to go to parks early- for opening - at the start of our trip - time difference helps that. Then stay till we are tired and go off to swim/mini golf/shopping.

Towards end of trip we do the other end of the day - relaxing morning followed by a park til closing time - allows for parades and evening entertainment/fireworks.

Trouble is everyone has their own equally valid way of doing things and finding your way can take a while.

Like others have said it really depends on how you feel and what you want to get done. We go to the parks in the morning have a rest in the afternoon and then either go back to the same park as the morning or hop to another depending on where dinner is planned and whether we had done everything we wanted too in the morning. I think planning in too much hopping can be tiring and makes you feel more like your on a schedule!

We usually park hop, however on our last trip it was hotter than normal and the park hopping expended too much energy so we started to do a little longer but not a full day in single parks a bit more.

Even normally, I would rarely plan the second park. I can only book FP for the first park so no need to plan the second one. So on my plan I tend to keep the afternoons flexible and will pick a park on the day, probably based upon where we can get the best FPS for or we might decide to go back to resort. The only time I would plan the second park of the day would be if I booked an evening ADR in a park.

We always hop between the parks.

We like to be at a park for opening (or EMH if possible) spend a few hours and then go back to our resort for some chill time before heading out to another park late afternoon and spend the evening.

We find this suits us as we get up early most mornings anyways and we find the parks to be quietest first thing

I always find that Mk in the morning and Epcot in the early afternoon through to the evening works best.

I did manage to talk my family to walk from DHS to Epcot in the middle of the day and let's just say I don't think I was rather liked for a few good hours after.
