Has anyone used a Zaptel Card to phone home

Whilst I’m away I need to phone home and use a landline.
I’ve tried face time with my Dad but he doesn’t quite get it, and just keeps saying to me what’s wrong with the telephone!

I’m not that great with technology myself so have no idea how to remove a sim from my phone, so I scratched that option off the list!

It either leaves me paying £2 a min with O2 or using this card which you pay for before using and get so many minutes to use.

Just wondered if anyone has used one before and if it worked okay.
Thanks

Unfortunately they don’t sell an International pack that goes with my sim, I don’t understand it all but I’ve already asked 02 if I could purchase a bolt on, but it doesn’t apply to my phone, the only option I have is to pay £2 a minute with them.

They are hard to find now but I use AD and T worldwide card, although I think someone said you can use skype to a landline as long as you have wi-fi

I've used a zaptel card to ring my elderly parents for the exact same reason. It was great. Only one word of warning if your father has call guardian or some other call filtering service on his landline a zaptel card will not work.

Ah that’s great thank you.
No he doesn’t have Call Guardian or any other call filtering service.
Was it okay to use the card with the hotel phone?

I used the card at Disney and Universal hotels with no issues.
