VS28 MCO - LGW - Do they use both exits to unload passengers?
I know when arriving at MCO, they only use the 1 exit to unload passengers but do they use both exits when arriving back in Gatwick?
It's been almost 2 years since we last few with Virgin and I cant remember. Thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware, it's only ever the exit directly behind the left-hand Premium seats used.

I have never seen any plane use more than one exit unless it was at a stand rather than gate and the passengers had to walk down the stairs. Luckily not common at MCO or LGW for transatlantic flights.

Use of two doors on long haul aircraft for boarding and disembarking is quite common, even on single deck aircraft. However, it is nearly always doors 1 and 2, the rear doors are very rarely used, except for emergencies and occasionally when there are issues with gates.
A380s will usually have a jetbridge attached to one door on each deck, unless they have to use a gate that can not accommodate this, in which case the internal stairs have to be used. On short haul aircraft in Europe it’s a regular occurrence to board by the front and rear, especially for low cost carriers, and even for BA at airports like LCY. Edited at 07:13 PM. |
