Large SUV fuel
Going in August with Premium SUV. Doing a bit of final budgeting today.
Has anyone recently had a Chevy tahoe/suburban, Yukon or Ford expedition recently. How much did a tank of fuel cost and how many miles did you get. Cheers. |

As as above, think 15 to 18mpg, -
Best bet is not to think about how much to refuel, estimate your mileage. On average we do around 800 to 1000 miles a trip. Easy way to work it out on the side of caution, is $3 a gallon. 1000 miles at $3 a gallon @ 18mpg is a cost of $166 - so £130 for fuel for full trip. Once you get to 1/4 of a tank, brim it again / pre-pay $30 depending on tank size. calculator/fuel-cost-calculator.html

Excited about Disney
|
I remember our first visit and I had a Jeep Commander which was a 6.0L beast if I remember correctly; I was initially a little concerned about fuel costs running such a huge engined vehicle, but my worries soon vanished when refuelling a few days later and worked out that it cost about £25 for a full tank... From that day on I’ve always enjoyed the power and the vehicle and not paying silly UK prices. I really enjoy driving in the US for their large vehicles

We had a Tahoe last month. Apart from paying for the first tank of fuel, we only put $30 more in and taking it back emptyish. We drove offsite quite a bit too.

Just back with a Tahoe, doing 1300+ miles. Empty to full is around $50-60 dollars and we managed 16mpg with a mixture of town and freeway driving.
We put $30 dollars at a time @ $2.43 a gallon which would take you from a 1/4 tank to just under 3/4. Amazed at how often we had to refuel and god knows how much we spent on gas. However when apart from in the States do you get a chance to drive such a magnificent beast of a vehicle.
