Modify booking with Alamo?

If the price goes down can you still modify the booking to get the difference refunded?

I had a feeling that I read somewhere that the new system worked differently to the old one and that you have to cancel and rebook.

Can someone confirm please?

Through Alamo Brits its my understanding that you cancel and rebook. Refunds take a few days to come through.

on the new alamo site, when you choose to change reservation, it will prompt you to pay the full amount, and you're refunded for the full amount you payed for the initial reservation

so even if it doesn't say its name, it's a cancellation / new booking.

I tried this a couple of months back.

have you tried to get a quote from Andy at DFCH (previous poster) he's real good and hassle free when it comes to changing a reservation.
