Mobile Car sun shades

Help
We are here now and I had brought two sun shades that pull over the back two windows for my daughters in the back when we are driving. My husband has now said they are illegal? Is this right? You can see through them fine

It seems to be as long as they allow 35% if light in?

They are for sale in all the shops so i can't imagine they are illegal, especially if you can see through them. I cant see how the back seat windows effect the driver anyway.
I think that article is referring more to window tints that the 'baby ' sunscreens
