There are plenty of sellers on there with good reasons to sell their tickets and you can say every catagory on ebay has fake/void items being sold.

Disney are always going to say tickets shouldnt be sold on as it will then create more more money for them if they can sell extra tickets.

Imagine you have bought some tickets from disney, then due to illness your holiday gets cancelled and you have these tickets costing Hundreds of pounds sitting there which are not part of your insurance package what are you going to do with them? they may expire before you can rebook! Why not try and salvage some money.

I am talking about unused tickets and not ones advertised as part used.
And how do you tell if someone is genuine? Ours were bought under the exact circumstances you have listed above and we ended up with void tickets and very nearly didnt get our money back.

You are going on holiday all the way to florida for WDW so why try and get out of paying entry?

Slightly of at a tangent but what about all those kiosks at fuel stations and store touts trying to sell us all used tickets? surely they can't all be illegal as they are there in the same places everytime we go on holiday! Personally I always use the same firm (one advertised heavily on here) I have worked and saved for at least two years to afford my holiday and am not going to take a chance for the sake of a few quid!

I feel for you Rebecca and totally understand your post I am so glad you have got things sorted.

BUT I almost put our family's 4 adult tickets on ebay a couple of months ago (kids are over 9) - for a few reasons - like someone said I've paid around £800 for these they are non refundable and I could't afford to lose £800 - not everyone selling tickets is a conman/woman.

In the event circumstances changed and thanfully we will be using our tickets next month. I just wanted to say that whilst I feel for you - not all sellers are fake.

Should add sold 4 KSC tickets a few years ago - as a seller I was happy and I know my buyer was as she got tickets for less than half price - win win in that case.

I hope that you and your family have an amazing holiday despite all the hassle you have had

Non-transferable means that you cannot (or should not) give the ticket to someone else - or at least whoever issued it would prefer that you not give it to someone else.

Even if there is no name on it, there might be coded information (a stamp with bar code or weird shapes that may contain your name or other info)

What should you do with tickets that are genuine and unused...like mentioned? If you are forced to cancel most people cant afford to just write off that amount of money. I would be wary of buying a lot of things from ebay as it is so open to abuse.

Personally I always buy tickets from an authorised dealer but I think Disney are being self-righteous about this.

If they would allow people to be refunded if they cannot use the tickets there would be no legitimate tickets for sale.

Coincidently only UK tickets have a use by date ... WHY.

Good point. Disney must be able to tell if a ticket has been used or not ...so why can we not be refunded?
