Apple Watch - sales tax

Good evening,

We will be buying a couple of Apple watches whilst in Orlando, is the sales tax 6% around international drive and is there anywhere that would have lower sales tax, we will be driving over to st petes and stopping at the mall in Tampa so was wondering if that would have less tax to pay?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

That website Cabbie posted is interesting.

In the whole of the state of Fl...

6% is the smallest possible tax rate (, Florida)
6.5%, 7% are all the other possible sales tax rates of Florida cities.
7.5% is the highest possible tax rate (Lee, Florida)

The average combined rate of every zip code in Florida is 6.65%

They have the apple sports in groupon uk at the minute for 219 for a 38 mm which is cheaper than in Florida at the minute. There is Also the 42 mm sports as well.

I had a look on Best Buy website and the 42mm is $299 and the 38mm is $249, if you reserve these at the store near idrive it adds 6.5% sales tax and even at a poor rate of 1.3 to the pound they are cheaper than dixons duty free and groupon so will get from Best Buy.

Luckily I get most of my dollars at 1.44 so that makes it even better for me

Just a heads-up, Apple are expected to announce the Watch 2 on the 7th September so this might result in some bargains for the Watch 1, depending on how quickly the the Watch 2 goes on sale. It looks like you're going out just after the announcement event so I'd recommend having a read of somewhere like Engadget on the 8th or 9th to see if Apple are discounting the Watch 1.
