Staying on site, recommendations for dairy and peanut free ?

We go in May and it was just the four of us but my sister is having a hard time so we are hopefully taking her with us along with my 1 year old nephew.

He has a severe allergy to milk and nuts, requiring an epi pen.

We've booked quite a few buffets with having a toddler ourselves and thinking it would be ideal. But I dont think it will be as easy to avoid milk and nuts with buffets. He only needs to have skin contact for a reaction so would rather not risk it.

Any tips or recommendations for onsite and offsite (sea world/ universal areas)?

I have agluten intolerance and onsite eating was great for special diets. In the quick service places they had a special diets menu that shows you clearly what is safe to order and you can order from a chef if you want. In buffets the chef always came to the table and walked me around the buffet telling me what was safe and explaining any options that could be cooked fresh/brought from the kitchen. They all were happy to bring me stuff from the kitchen to avoid cross contamination if I wanted. Don't have ,ugh experience of offsite dining but the US seems better equipped for dealing with allergies than the UK.

Best tip is ringing the reservations line and making sure it's on your reservation that he has these allergies. Then when you get to the restaurant make sure you tell staff and the chef will come talk to you.
