Oh wow! Thanks for the heads up. Malory Towers and St Clares were my favourite books growing up. I kept my original sets for my DD and she loved them too. Can’t wait to check out the TV series.

I just came to this forum to mention Mallory Towers and found this thread. It must be forty years or so since I read the books, I used to love Enid Blyton.
Anyway I binge watched the lot yesterday, I saw it is billed as a children’s program and was curious if modern day children that maybe had not read the books would really enjoy it. Anyway, I did. I hope they do all the books in the coming years as the child actors grow up. |

Thank you for posting, going to watch these over the weekend. We were also going to see it at the theatre so won’t feel like I’m missing out as much now.
I remember the excitement of getting a box set of the books for Christmas, I loved them. |

I love the Chalet school books, I've still got all of my armada copies though they are a bit dog-eared from so much reading. There are avid fan sites and new books and unabridged originals being published by girls gone by publishers. If you liked the old school stories from the early and mid 20th century they have loads.
I also loved Malory Towers as a child and went to see the stage version last October with our year 6's from school, they were enthralled and so was I (especially with the staging of the swimming pool). I'll have a watch so thanks for that.

I've also been watching this. Its years since I read the books, all of those mentioned above.
I always wanted to go to boarding school because of them. I think it would have suited me. I think they could have done better with the series, they all seem to be mini stories rather than school life. I would love this to continue and for them to grow up ( like Harry Potter)
