I'm just curious if I stayed there, how do I get to all the sites, like dubai mall, Atlantis waterpark, legoland etc. And to the beaches.

And how do I get back. Do you just flag a taxi ? How would I know there safe & legit etc.

Getting so exited now.

We're hoping for 8-10 nights.
Taxis are really cheap and readily available. Generally the hotel staff will flag a taxi for you but more often than not there will be a queue of them outside. Similarly, outside the attractions and malls there are official taxi ranks.
Some of the attractions will offer shuttle services from popular areas

Has anyone been during Ramadan recently. Looks like Apr 2023 for us. Are you able to drink water while walking around legoland etc Or in Atlantis eating during the day for non residence, etc.

No you cant drink water while out or chew gum but cafes, like Starbucks, will have a screened area for you to sit and have a drink. Hotels are generally exempt (except alcohol when it may only be served in restaurants in the evenings ) but by the pool and beach soft drinks (and maybe alcohol ?) is served as usual. Also dress codes are certainly stricter when out but generally people cover up more anyway and your hotel will offer you guidance

I’ve taken my 5 children in April, October and December. The weather was lovely for each trip and they all managed the heat fine. It’s cooler than Florida in the summer when you stick to Oct-Apr and it’s a dry heat, not as humid/sticky.

Brilliant news - thank you for your PM!
If you are thinking of doing a lot of activities take a look at the Entertainer as it may save you a few dirahms theentertainerme/en-ae/dubai-n-emirates

It won’t make sense for you to get the food one being half board but activities could be worth it. Also check Groupon type websites - always deals about

Hi, sorry, just jumping in on this if it’s ok.
My DH and myself are going at the end of September and I was wondering if you are allowed in o take duty free alcohol in with you? We were thinking of a bottle of gin and maybe something else to put in our room fridge.

Thank you, i've downloaded the app and also Careem i think its called for the taxis.

Because we will be there during Ramadan, the hotel do a shuttle to La Mer Beach, would there be places to eat open there, also would it be ok if sitting at the beach and having some water.

Confused by the beach also. Is La Mer beach just a continuation to Jumeirah beach? Are they walking distance of each other? Where would be the best spot by the beach for kids with things to do? Also anywhere with sunsets?
