Miami International Airport to Orlando avoiding cashless tolls

Hi All,

Looking to get a definite answer and route for this.

If I put this into google maps it says it can find routes without tolls going the US27 route but can you get to the US27 without going through cash less tolls? I an not so sure despite what google maps says.

The reason I am asking is that I have booked through Europcar and the fee is $9.99 a day plus tolls which seems expensive.

Regards,
Ian

Wow, $9.99 a day! Is that capped? Alamo's is capped at a maximum of just under $20 for the duration of the hire plus tolls.
US27 starts on the corner of the airport so you should be ok but somebody who's actually done it should be on shortly to confirm. Mick's good on things like this!

Follow your chosen route from the airport on street view and you'll see if there are tolls or not.

Not sure that everyone shares your views about my posts about tolls having not yet received the courtesy of an explanation as to why my last post was deleted.

Perhaps I'm not allowed to post Google Streetview photos now, or even more controversially, I'm not allowed to say that the unmanned toll at j2 off 417 has gone up to $1 from 75 cents. Maybe I'll never know.

Anyway OP as 99plums says if you look on Google maps you will see that US27 starts at the north-east corner of MIA. Gets you toll-free up to the WDW area but not sure where in Orlando you want to be.

Mick

Guessing they are located in the transport hub of Miami airport so it is very easy to get to the 27 without using the toll roads. You exit the car rental centre on NW 25th Street, you come to a (think it is on lights from memory) a large junction which is S Le Jeune NW 42nd Avenue and turn right. Keep going straight until you come to a major cross roads which is NW 31st Street and go straight over and after this junction we get into the left hand lane as the US27 leaves Le Jeune on a left hand fork (not far past the Red Roof plus hotel which is also on the right hand side) then it is keep going straight up the 27.

Many Thanks for the responses everyone.

I will check it out on streetview but it looks like this is possible.

I can't see any mention of a cap on $9.99 daily fee for Europcar/Advantage and they are based in the transport hub with the others from the address I have.

Tolls in Orlando aren't an issue as I can pay cash, It is really to avoid the cashless ones.

We are staying at Lindfields so up the US27 and along the 192 will do us just fine I think.
