Avis at MCO Group L category

We’ve booked with Avis as part of a fly drive with BA. I booked group L as it said “Chevy Suburban or similar”. I emailed Avis to ask what was in the Group L fleet and they said “Ford Expedition 2wd” or “GMC Yukon XL 4wd”. I’ve driven the Yukon before but not the Expedition. Anyone had any experiences of either the Expedition or the Group L category from avis?

I’m thinking if I end up with the Yukon to try and swap for Expedition if they have one.?

Yes,
had the Expedition last year. Very nice and well specced.
Drove OK as well

I'll tell what they have when I go to collect my Group L car in 17 days :-)

Avis don’t let you choose though. They allocate a car for you before you arrive. That’s what I read here somewhere, not sure if that’s still the case

Yes Avis allocate you a car but you can ask to change if not happy.
Not Avis but I booked an int suv at Disney car care centre. Went to get and they gave me the keys to an expedition.
It was really nice, easy to drive given the size.
We didn’t use the extra seats so had a massive boot.

I had a group L booked from Tampa on my recent holiday. Ended up with a Lincoln Navigator. Really liked it.

I had a Chevy Suburban from Avis at FLL when I was there last month. Was awesome and so easy to drive, had all the bells and whistles as well.
