Hard rock hotel booking through booking.com

We have booked hard rock hotel through booking.com. Just want to check people’s experiences as I’m slightly worried we don’t need to pay the balance until we arrive. Is our room confirmed even though we’ve eonly paid a deposit?

My experience with Booking.com with RPR was not great. I had a flexible booking which meant I could cancel up to 5 days before. Usually when I have done this with other hotels payment wasn’t taken until just before stay or just after, but in this case payment was taken a few days after booking which was a total surprise when I queried it I was told it is down to individual hotel t&cs, luckily I had the money there. I have since seen Booking.com on one of those watchdog type programs saying this company are terrible if things go wrong and play the middleman card.

Am I right in thinking booking.com is the company you can book through using Tesco club vouchers?
If so I am sure I have read on here that loads have done this with no issues.

I think it is Hotels.com - you need to use the link through the Clubcard website

Not Florida but we booked through them for a hotel in Palma Majorca, it was for our anniversary and we had taken time to choose the hotel etc. When we got there we were advised Booking.com had not forwarded the booking in time and we were actually double booked ended up in another hotel which was miles from where we wanted to be so wary about using them for special trips though have used them for overnight stays in UK , usually when going to a concert etc

Yes it is...

I’ve booked the hard rock the last two years via bookings.com and it all worked fine. They seem to charge you a night up front and then the rest on arrival.

Last year we phoned them up and settled the balanced before we arrived as with the nonsense that is Brexit we wanted to Pay it before the currency nose dived. This was no problem for them and they processed it for us.

Don’t worry if you have the confirmation you are all sorted

I booked our New York hotel through them last year. In fact I booked another but cancelled when I found a cheaper one a couple of weeks later. All was great with no issues.

Used booking.com on our west coast trips and never a problem, sometimes pay in advance, sometimes the day before and sometimes the day of check in ..l never a problem.

We also stay at HRH every year and when booking direct with them they only pre charge a night rate then you pay the rest at the hotel. Never had a problem .. but have never used booking.com at HRH but would with no hesitation from my past experiences x
