Ferrytale sparkling dessert cruise
Has anyone done this? Can I just check we don’t need park tickets?
We have a week pre cruise in April and it’s our anniversary on the Saturday as we leave to board the cruise so am tempted to book this as a surprise for DH on the Friday night but we don’t have Disney park tickets this time.

You don't need park tickets It does look a great way to see the fireworks, alternatively, book a meal at the California Grill and watch from there

Ferrytale cruise
hi
we did this in October and were really disappointed. The boat stops miles away from the fireworks - not a good view at all - we wouldve been better just taking the normal ferryboat and watching. The food was not much and no bar until on the boat - everyone scrambling for food. Only positive - the free layard was cool. |

Hi, i did this in Feb as GD isn't great with crowds & there were positives as well as negatives
Positives: Although it was quite far from the fireworks we didn't feel it detracted from the experience & was a bit cooler than stuck in a crowd The boat wasn't really crowded so there was room for everyone to have a view If you have kids in your party they had a cool treasure hunt on board using UV light Park tickets are not required, but get to the meeting point early as there was food/drink Negatives: As Cav says, everyone was scrambling for food/drink - they also put it away straight after the fireworks finished so nothing for the trip back to the dock It is quite expensive for what you actually get On the whole, though, i would do it again

Honestly we liked it and have done it several times. Each time they've improved it.
So in November last year which is the most recent time we did it, they had a little sparkling wine or juice reception on land before everyone got on the Ferry. They really tried to get everyone in the mood. They sang happy birthday to people and so on. Then on board they had photopass photographers getting great shots of people with the magic kingdom in the background. It sailed round several times before stopping in front of the magic kingdom to see the fireworks. Honestly they're fireworks, yah know, high up in the sky LOL so how close do you need to be to see them!? We thought it was a brilliant view It CAN be a bit of a scrum for food and drink but it settles down once people realise they have plenty of time. It's something different and we'd definitely do it again |

Thanks everyone... I was really keen to do it but DH wasn’t so I have held off booking it for now. Good to hear honest reviews though.
