It will be per person. It's only available at that rate for the full length of a 14 day ticket, regardless of how many days you use the ticket for.
You're correct that it breaks even for a 9 day stay compared to buying it each day, but perhaps it's convenient to have it paid up front if you know you'll use it every day. |

The only other place I’ve been to where there was a free allocation for fast pass was Liseberg in Sweden. Prebooking gave 3 allocation slots. It’s no surprise Disney have gone for a paid option but I guess everybody’s disappointment of the change has been shared on the many threads already.

I have to agree. None of us likes that we have to pay now but it’s here. We’ve already had our moan so now it’s about those who plan to get it exploring how to use it.

A 8 night holiday gives you 9 days in total (although the first and last days won't be full days). £98 divided by 9 = £10.87. Which is about $14.70 per person per day. That's only about a dollar less than what you would have paid on the day, assuming you use Genie+ every day.
If you end up not going to a park on your arrival day - so only use it over 8 days of your holiday - then it works out at about $16.50 per person per day.

We had ultimate tickets with the dining credits and gift card and our TA confirmed they have added the discounted rate for Genie+. Does anything change in MDE with it? I can’t see anything different.
I’m guessing it won’t until it’s on the day? |

To answer your questions:
I don't care that we pay for fastpasses now. Universal has done that for years. One person is going on this holiday so yes, the £97 is per person. I guess I break even or save a tiny bit, but I don't have to worry later and pre pay. At the end of the day it's my holiday and my money and my decisions. |
