Cheap hotel near Universal for one night

We arrive at mco about 3pm Oct 27th. We're staying at RPR Oct 28th and Cabana Bay Oct 29th but need a cheap hotel within walking distance of City Walk for one night.

Hoping to go to US or IOA for a few hours if we can find the energy!

We're flying indirect with United via Washington so will be rather tired by the time we land at mco!

Any suggestions kind dibbers?

I think this might be suitable. Some of us stayed here when my cousin got married at hard rock tripadvisor/Hotel_...o_Florida.html

I'd be tempted to go for a hotel at the north end of I-drive. The Rosen Inn nearest universal or the Avanti Palms tends to be cheap. Walkable but you might want to get a taxi which should be cheap as it is less than a mile (and the cheap hotel makes up for it). If you don't feel like going to the park you have several places to eat nearby.

We stayed at Quality Inn & Suites Windover drive, which is in the same general area as the Clarion already recommended. Has in room safes and corridors. There is a millers ale house, golden corrall, ihop and walgreens in this area too, and quite a few other hotels. If you have a look at google maps you will get an idea of whats available.

We did walk to the restaurants and to universal from our hotel.
