Winter gardens/ St Augustine confusion

We have been to winter gardens and couldn't find what I would call the centre ...ie the river to go for a cruise just couldn't find it etc so we parked up looked around and went back home (to hotel) we would like to go to St Augustine but am worried it is going to be too big and the same will happen as winter gardens we turn up and can't find what I would call the centre

can anyone advise please

It's Winter Park that has the cruise. I think found the centre for St Augustine! We certainly found a lovely old town style street with lots of lovely shops and restaurants on. Have a look on google maps for St George Street.

Old St. Augustine is quite small and you will have no trouble finding it.

The old city of St Augustine is a compact area all walkable you should have no trouble at all finding the historic district. To get the best from it stay over a night or two.
