That sinking feeling...

Awake at stupid o'clock and mulling over todays events. DD had eye test today, never been a problem before, she has them every six months following treatment for tumours on optic nerves. This time it was different, got sent for visual field test, which for a child of 7 with learning difficulties isnt really going to work. An extra eye test later and seeing how she turns her head when she uses left eye all a bit of a worry😕. Have to now wait for next round of tests in six months. Feel like we have been kicked back 6 1/2 years.

It actually amazes me how they think any child can do any test which is strange confusing and down right frightening the first time and you get a oh we need to redo it in 6 months get a grip talk everyone through it haveva fun run to check it's fine then do it for real nope just let Mum& Dad worry themselves silly for 6 months till the next one

I think i am going to have to speak with her consultant, but will have to wait a week or two for their report to filter through. Although i hadnt noticed her tipping her head, i suppose she compensates with the other "good" eye, at least now we are aware and school can watch out as well.

It must be so hard for you, all these test and then waiting so long for results. It must be so daunting for your child. I hope when all these test are over, it will be some positive news. I'm thinking of you both, please keep us posted of updates.
