Blue badges can be used in Florida?
I emailed Virgin on another subject, but they included this in their response,
The Department of Transport of Florida’s webpage: – flhsmv.gov/FLVisitorsFAQs.htm states that visitors to Florida can use their own out of country parking permits providing it displays the international symbol of accessibility and is hang in the rear view mirror. Alternatively, you can obtain a temporary parking permit while in Florida. Temporary parking permits can be purchased from county tax collectors offices in Florida, at a local charge of approximately $15.00 and you will need to present a copy of the person’s current out of country parking permit, proof of identification such as a passport to verify ownership of the disabled badge. Local Tax Collectors office locations can be obtained from the following website. hsmv.state.fl.us Has anyone else had experience of this? It would save people sending off for a temporary Florida pass for their holiday. |

Id rather pay a few dollars and get the correct badge rather than constantly worry i migh get a ticket and all the hassle that would involve! Getting pass was easy.

I tried that email too and got no answer. But when I emailed AJReyes@octaxcol.com I got a reply in a couple of days with all the info needed, can only actually apply 60 days before travel though but its nice to have the contact in my email list ready for the date.
