Tell me about November in DLP...
Hi everyone, I'm ashamed to say since we returned from WDW last year I have been avoiding the Dibb Couldn't bring myself to look on here as we had no plans for another trip for a few years. However, I've just got off the phone to Disney and we're booked for 4 nights from 14th November in Newport Bay! I've added the half board meal plan and apart from that(and watching KrispySmore on Youtube) I need to do a lot of research into this trip. So please can all you DLP pro's help me out? What are your best tips(there are 5 of us, myself, dh and 3 boys, 12,10 and 5), what is the weather like at that time of year, where do you recommend eating etc. Thank you in advance

Hiya, it's a few years old now but have a read of my trip report 'The One in Which We Didn't Go As A Family' (click the link on my signature), we went at the end of November so that will give you an idea of what to expect at that time of year.

I've been a couple of times midweek in mid-November - its a fabulous time to go. Very very low crowd levels, xmas season in full swing in the parks and resort, and it gets dark early (before 5pm) so you get to see the parks all lit up and vibrant with colour .
i've been in November when its been literally freezing, and I've been in November with winter sunshine warm enough for t-shirts. Just keep an eye on the weather for chessy and pack accordingly a couple of days before your trip. |

That's great Sammy, just the sort of info I wanted. Hoping it will be low crowds and looking forward to the xmas theme everywhere! Do you know what time the parks close roughly? We are staying in Newport Bay so not worried about getting back to the hotel, just want to make best use of the time there.

based on previous years the Studios will close at 6pm, and the main park will close at around 7.30pm, after the nighttime lazer show over the castle.

Hi there
we went last November and I was really cold, not enough for thermals but definitely a warm coat and waterproof shoes, just got back last week and the weather was warm ( expected it to be colder than nov) the crowds were a lot lower in November, we're a family of 5 too and also love Krispy smore we've eaten in most of the resteraunts found ADC to be amazing but we have 3 girls not boys so maybe not ideal for them unless they love the princesses. we also love Annettes, Cowboy cookout, chez remy, Blue lagoon ( if you like seafood sort of food) Agrabahs ( buffet style ) earl of sandwich for lunch time ( not on meal plan) if you have any specific questions happy to answer have fab trip xx |
