has anyone ever used/dealt with these insurance companies?
Hi there, trying to sort out the dreaded travel insurance and have had a couple of good quotes from "fit 2 travel" or "getgoing" travel insurance. Has anyone ever used either of these companies or had any reason to make a claim with them? I have declared all medical conditions (3 out of 4 in our group having 1 each) and prices are coming out at about £130 for our family of 4, which i dont think are too bad. Any input on these companies would be much appreciated. TIA

I hope 'get going' are ok! I've taken out insurance with them for our upcoming trip in September. Even after declaring my medical conditions, it came to only £46 and included gadget insurance.
Edited to add: the reviews of 'get going' on trust pilot and the like are positive. Edited at 12:31 AM. Reason: Adding information |

I thought the name rang a bell! I have taken out a Policy with Get Going for my Daughter (aged 30) for this August. Never used them before.
I have however also taken out a Policy with Top Dog for my Grandaughter for the same period. Now those we have used before and made a claim against 2 years ago when the little one ended up in Hospital. Brilliant company to deal with.

Sorry, slightly off topic, but one insurer I recommend is HolidayRisk. My parents insured with them last year when they went away with my sister and her husband. My mother got taken ill on the flight home and had to be dropped off in France. My sisters insurance were not interested in the slightest as it was not either of them taken ill. In fact they were told it's their own fault, they should have just left my mother in France?! But HolidayRisk were compassionate and understanding and actually paid for my sister's entire accommodation and part of their travel home, even though they were not named on my parents insurance! Insurance companies are renowned for finding loop holes to avoid paying out, but hats off to them.

I work for staysure! We are defaqto 5 star rated (which isnt customer reviews its an industry rating for level of cover) and have over 10,000 5 star customer reviews on trust pilot. If you are getting cheap quotes with pre existing medical please check they are actually covering the conditions not excluding them as this seems to happen a lot.
Staysure excess is reaaonable at £65 regardless of medical history, you can waive the excess for a one off payment too. I believe its a good product, its not the cheapest but its a high level of cover. If i didnt use staysure i would probably use all clear as they are good too |

Please remember cheapest not always best. In 2006 my wife was seriously ill whilst in Florida. Treatment amounted to $15,000. We had an excellent policy with Aviva ( Norwich Union ). They were first class and dealt with everthing during a very stressful time.

Sorry not used them ourselves we always use "insure with", as has been said the cheapest is not always the best and unfortunately you only ever find out how good they are if the worst happens, fingers crossed nothing does and you all have a great time
