Pointless food

So having a cup of tea and a donut this afternoon and it dawned on me what a daft idea the ring donut is.
A donut is all sugary goodness and then someone thought it’d be a good idea to remove some of that sugary goodness by putting a hole in the middle, and to top it all they’re the same price as a jam filled donut (other fillings are available).
And I bet the ring donut isn’t the only pointless food😂

Krispie kreme sell the holes separately, which is a brilliant marketing plan.

Tim Horton does the same. I think they are nicer than the rest of the ring.

There’s a Tim Horton opening in Harlow soon, are they any good?

Wazza. My Dad when I was a Child told me how Bakers put the holes in doughnuts.

Then my Mother told him he was crude.

Ring donuts have a larger outer surface area, which for many is the best bit.

Cress, the type you get in supermarkets in plastic pots still attached to soil, you may aswell go into your garden & take a bite of your lawn, at least then it might taste of something 🤔
Also missing the hole, polo mints, always reminds me of Jim Royle in The Royle Family when Barbara offers him a polo & he says “give us 2 to make up for the hole” 😂

Oh no, that's a super ingredient for all good soups and sauces!

I'll be controversial - donuts are completely overrated.

Courgette and aubergine - slimy veg, oh no
