Virgin Atlantic - Heathrow...
Hi,
We have never flown from Heathrow before, just wondered if they do twilight check in or if not what is the usual procedure for checking in (trying to plan whether to stop overnight or travel in the morning)? I am struggling to find the answer on the internet. Has anyone used the VROOM there - if there is one and do you think it is worth it for an 11.10am flight please? Thank you in advance.

There's no Twilight check-in at LHR either. Both of those are aimed at the leisure routes, which normally operated out of LGW. Their LHR ground services are mainly focused on the Clubhouse and other Upper perks.

We have flown from Heathrow T3 a couple of times (and will be doing it again next May)... both times we found easy - it's a calm organised terminal, and bag drop & check in was simple & quick .. only issue was what felt like a never ending walk to the gate

Thank you that's really informative - because I have mobility issues at the moment, so may need a bit of help if its too long a walk.

You definitely won't have any issues in the main bit as you don't have to walk very far at all from entry to the terminal to where the main seating, shops etc are (and that's a really compact area), but some of the gates do seem to be a fair bit away - although probably not as far as it seemed at the time

If you have the same mobility issues when you travel contact VS before you leave and they can arrange assistance. But bear in mind that in some circumstances you would be last off the aircraft on arrival and before Covid happened there wasn't always a way to go to the head of the immigration queue.

I have some mobility issues and have contacted VA to arrange special assistance.
Standing is the worst! I was told that some of the gates tend to be a long walk at T3
