Cleaner costs

Just seen a request on my local Facebook from someone in my locality wanting a cleaner and paying £17 per hour. Is this the going rate?

I was thinking about working for a company (bit of extra holiday money!), they charge the client about £15 and I'd get £11.
Not sure how easy it is to get your own client list and charge what want!

I think the going rate here is £15. People always seem to be looking for cleaners tho so perhaps it's not very good.

In our area it would be simple, put it out on a local FB page and you would get lots of enquires.

Surely you'd have to get insurance and things though wouldn't you?

We pay £13 per hour, that includes them using their own products. Midlands, was £12 for years before this year.
