Probably an element of truth given its character heavy but surely Disney is an attractive employer for performers? Can’t be taking this long to re-hire can it? Announced months ago it would be back in ‘2022’ but seems this will be Autumn at the very earliest. WDW’s night-time offerings are so lacklustre these days. Returning Fantasmic and a parade at MK would certainly help.

They have been doing work on the mountain, moat and theatre. They’ve also done an overhaul of the show itself so there’s new elements, it’s updated and new characters. That’s the bit that’s taken the most time as it isn’t a quick job to essentially make a new show

It depends on what the pay is like. Disney has shortages across the board so perhaps they don't pay enough.

Yep exactly this, while Disney is an attractive option, they got rid of a load of people over the pandemic, most found better jobs elsewhere. Disney don't pay very well, and I don't think offer great benefits either. The other parks are also in similar situations, I think seaworld were offering to considerably beat the offerings of other parks.

Increasing Covid numbers could also be causing issues. Even where I live places are having to close because of staff shortages due to Covid.

We are all really sad that we won’t be able to see Fantasmic, especially as this will be our last trip for a good while. It is my absolute favourite show.
