Discount Florida car hire

Hi, I'm just pricing up car hire for our August trip.

We usually use Alamo brits which is coming out as £612

I've just checked DFCH and its coming out at £435 for the same car with Alamo.

I know DFCH gets mentioned on here a fair bit but I'm just wondering how it can be so much cheaper (Eg what's the catch?) and whether there was anything I'm missing or needed to be aware of before booking with DFCH

Thanks

We used them last year, cheaper than anyone, very efficient service, no catch. Would reccommend them

There's no catch. I've booked numerous times with Andy and never had a problem. How he gets it cheaper i have no idea. Only he can answer that one

Thanks. I always think if something looks too good to be true it usually is so I was suspicious of it being nearly £200 cheaper. Just didn't want to get caught out

OK second question do you know if you can skip the counter if you book Alamo with DFCH - I usually pick up at Disney Car care but will be picking up at airport for the first time in years and not sure how it all works

Yes you can stc with alamo via dfch.

Happy to be corrected by anyone but I think he is set up to search several places and returns the best price. Plus maybe he has some kind of broker discount. Also, a £200 variation is quite normal for a car hire search imo. If you search alamo brits, alamo, virgin, netflights, expedia you will get a wide range. But whatever his method he seems to have served countless dibbers (incl myself) over a very long period of time. We keep using him.

My 2 suggestions -

1) keep checking the price. Our 3rd florida trip in 18 months coming up and every time it gets cheaper as the holiday gets closer. Price 2 months out is typically 60-70% of what it was 12 months out. Just cancel and rebook.

For August i have actually found something of a glitch with Alamo brits. Booked the luxury SUV for £1,178, have rebooked 3 times now and down to £698. That one is direct with Alamo brits, but it is the same story across any of them - the price drops until about 2 months before travel.

2) if you need a sat nav use Andy's sat nav option. It gets posted to you in the UK a few days before travel. You can then get it all set.up with locations etc before you go. And it only costs £15. Bargain.

Thanks Alamo brits has always been by far the cheapest for us so I was surprised to find it so much cheaper - is it easy to cancel and rebook DFCH

Thanks. There will only be one driver - my husband doesn't drive abroad - sounds like DFCH might be ideal for us.

Yes, very easy. Just log in and click the cancel button.. or send me a message. I'll always try to match / beat other websites so worth checking with me before you cancel.
