Mobile Ticket prices 2017/2018

There is a massive difference in the 2 over £50. Some people have said you can buy the tickets for next year this year as they are valid for a year. Does anyone know if that's true. TIA

I believe that Disney & Universal 2017 tickets have to be used for the first time by 31/12/2017, then expire 14 days from then (if 14 day tickets have been purchased). so, on that basis 2018 tickets would need to be purchased. Beware though, that Seaworld Parks tickets appear to be valid for 1 year from the date of issue so, I believe you would still need to purchase 2018 tickets but be careful that the don't expire before you travel, depending on when you are going.
This is my understanding but, best option is to phone the ticket distributor and ask your question.

You can get some tickets for next year at this years price, but others you can't. One example below of a ticket that is the same price for this year and next year at the moment.

Also have a look at the Universal Base and Hopper Tickets, and the Disney Magic Your Way Tickets. Links below.

If you want the Disney Ultimate tickets or the Universal Explorer tickets they will be different prices.

Thanks. I'm waiting to hear from an agent. The whole things all a bit confusing.
