When will September school term start 2019?

I have bitten the bullet and booked with Virgin for August 2019 - returning back on the 4th September. Doesn't appear that the school term dates show as far yet as showing when the schools start in September 2019. I am guessing that it will be the 4th, but just wondered if anyone knows when the dates will be showing on the council or school sites?

I've been trying to look too, our local authority hasn't got them up yet, but the ones that have look to have start of term as Monday 2nd. The difficulty I have is that there are normally 1 or 2 teacher training days, but the school have only just announced the September 2018 ones.

I wish schools would give full dates including teacher training sooner

What date do yours break up in the July? Ours break up on the 24th July so 6 weeks would take ours to starting back on the 4th September. It would be a lot easier to plan holidays around the school terms if the dates were up in advance - especially as a lot of parents try and book early.

Dorset schools go back on Monday 2nd.

Our council site (Swindon) shows holidays until end of August so I expect some schools will be back on Monday 2nd unless they have inset days. DD's school is partnered with an academy and can follow their dates but they're not online yet. I'm presuming she'll be back on the monday/tuesday so will probably fly Thursday 15th till Thursday 29th so she has the weekend to recover and dh can get back to work on the Saturday if he needs to.

Ours is Monday 22nd (though that is a teacher training day so the last day of school is Friday 19th)

It would definitely be easier to plan with dates sooner, it frustrates me that I'm trying to guess!

We had a 2018/19 calendar come home only last week, I would think looking at our schools anyway it would be very early on in September because our daughter breaks up Friday 19th July, it should be Monday 22nd but that's an inset day here... Well it is at the minute.

Thanks for all the replies, looking on my DS's schools website it states that last day of school is July 23rd - but then also says elsewhere that the 23rd is a teacher training day? So it could actually be that he will be back on the 3rd September. Either way the holiday is booked so unfortunately he may miss 1 or 2 days. I guess I will know for sure once they have put the dates on their website or on the local council.
