hi, I’ve stayed in ASM twice and going back for 3rd time in October, I really liked this hotel and I’ve stayed in value to moderate hotels with Disney, I’m going back in October so looking forward to it, when hubby and I stayed here 1st time it was our 25th wedding anniversary, we got a lovely card and luggage tag, on our 2nd visit we got a welcome back card left in our room, lovely touches as have stayed at Coronado Springs 3 times and never received a welcome back card from them, it’s also within walking distance of the All Stars movies and Sports, which are worth a visit, I’m sure you will have a great time

That's good to know. We booked a night for November to make the most of HS while we are there. Hubby loves Star Wars so will do a walk thru of Galaxys Edge. Not bothered about the rides but want to soak up the sights.

Had a week there last year in the Jazz building thought it was great. Wasn't a refurbished room though. Think they are updating once Movies is completed.

It is cheap and cheerful and you have the benefits of being onsite. Lots of people are put off by the theming at the values but really it doesn't affect the rooms. As it sounds like you are just looking for a bed and easy park transportation then for these things the all stars are perfect.

We are looking at staying here next October but the calypso pool will be closed throughout our stay I’ll this make a big difference and should we look at sports/movies or will this be ok and keep to our original plan?

There is another pool at the hotel and depending on which building you are in you may find that it is quicker to get to a pool at the sports or movies as music is in the middle of them both. I would imagine that they will move as many of the activities that usually take place at the calypso pool to another one and/or promote these at the other 2 all stars. Would I change - yes probably but not due to the pool, I prefer the newer room style and these are currently only at ASmovies or Pop, alternatively if you want to be first one/off shared buses then Sports is the way to go. Will you have a fab time either way - definitely! these resorts are fun and in my experience very friendly.
