Would you recommend a certain block or location that is better than another?
Couldn't get a lake view so what's the next best available from your experience would be great Thanks

From our experience the blocks are all fairly similar. I would recommend trying to get a block close to the main reception/pool area. We also prefer an upper floor so you can use the balcony and it's also useful for leaving wet swimming clothing and towels to dry. We have had a lake view in the past as a free upgrade, it was ok but I wouldn't pay extra for it. If they have any Premium condos available I would recommend upgrading as the floor space is quite a bit larger. The video attached is the premium condo we were given in 2014 but every year the condos have been very similar. It's a great resort, I'm sure you'll love it. M.I.C.K.E.Y Edited at 07:55 PM. |

I've stayed there 4 times - 3 different condos and all very luxurious and spacious. We wouldn't stay anywhere else now.

We are booked to stay there his august. Really reassuring seeing the positive reviews here. Im nervous though as we've booked a hire car to drive from MCO to vista cay. It will be our first ever drive in the states but now im getting nervous whether it will be a striaght forward journey to vista cay?

Hopefully it's all good reports back as we're looking to stay here on 2018 when we get married in Florida -- thinking Cypress Groves but not yet decided.
One thing I've found though is non of the travel agents can guarantee us lake view and it's something we want to ensure we get, not just a "we can ask once you've paid a deposit" - also looking to book flights separately as a lot cheaper. Anyone had any experience of booking with Vista Cay direct? thinking of contacting them directly so we can guarantee we get the apartments we want, plus looking at staying for 17 nights so not sure if this will cause an issue or not. Plus concerns about whether it would be ATOl protected or not (doubtful I suspect). Sorry to hijack the thread but all advice welcome and appreciated. |

On our first stay at Vista Cay we booked through Thomas Cook.
I considered paying extra for a lake view so thought I would give Vista Cay by Millenium a call to see how much it would be. They were very helpful and I could have upgraded to a lake view directly with them without contacting the travel agent. I chose not to however as I found it hard to justify the extra cost. As it worked out we received a free upgrade to lakeview on arrival. Our subsequent three visits have all been booked directly with Vista Cay by Millenium. You can choose from a range of condos (deluxe or premium / with or without lake view) and townhouses. If you do book directly I would mention that you're getting married while you are there 😉 |

I think most people on these boards will tell you that in many ways it's much easier to drive in Orlando than it is in the U.K. Driving an automatic might take a minute or two to get used to if, like me, you hadn't driven one before.
Getting to Vista Cay is straightforward too. It's basically one long motorway (528) for about 10 miles then turn off at junction 2 and you're just about there. You'll be fine. There are plenty of tourists in the same boat carefully driving along the 528 getting used to their hire car and new surroundings. |
