There is a good recent video on the frugal brit Youtube channel with the top 10 places to eat on I drive. I don't necessarily agree with the list but its a good starting point with a nice overview of each place

Hey don't be dissing on Millers Ale House!
It's been a "go to" of ours for many years. It is what it is - it's loud, sporty, great beers , great service and... decent food. Big shout out for Friendly's as well for breakfast as mentioned by Rescuer. We used to always have our first breakfast of the holiday there - mainly because of the pancakes! Olive Garden is all about the service - unbelievable. The food is good and reasonably priced. Cuba Libre in Pointe Orlando is a fantastic environment and experience - just be prepared to empty your wallets at the end of the meal and drinks. TGI's - why would you when there's so much choice? We did and didn't have a great experience. If you like Tapas - Cafe Tu Tu Tango is a brilliant night too. again, not the cheapest per dish though. One that looks interesting on YouTube that we'll be trying this time... The Sugar Factory. Overall... to be on I'Drive - generally you'll have a job finding a really bad experience.

Strange - we stay for a few days every year on i Drive and cant remember ever having to wait for a table at a restaurant (June/July)
I would also add Vito's Chop House (next to Pirates Cove golf) to teh list.

We've tended to stay on I-Drive for the past 10-15 years (creatures of habit...!) as have always found it a great central location for everything we want & in between Disney & Universal.
For food, Millers has always been a fun place to go - they do very cheap beer (draft or bottles on offer) and pretty simple/honest food. Don't expect fine dining, but if you want ribs/burgers/chicken the menu is good & VFM. There is pretty much every chain you could expect - TGI's, Hooters, Seņor Frogs & Bahama Breeze - all within walking distance if you're staying south of Sand Lake, which is helpful if you don't fancy driving. If you want something more "fancy", if you head down Sand lake there is another burst of restaurants around Dr Phillips with some really good choices. All in all - plenty of choice and most without the need for transport! Enjoy! |

One point to mention, not so much an issue in COVID times, is when there is a large convention on at the Orange County Convention Centre at the Pointe Orlando end of I'Drive. A lot of the bars and restaurants will be booked out completely for "Private Parties" (in other words corporate hospitality events) - this was really annoying when you're staying at the Rosen's hotels or others in the area.
