We're not keen. Hopefully it will fade.

They didn't just paint the castle a slight pink colour for the 25th Anniversary. They covered the whole castle and made it look like a bright pink birthday cake:

Personally, I loved it. Others hated it.

In comparison, this change for the 50th anniversary is quite subtle.

I have photos of me as a child standing in front of it with my parents. I love it! Brings back such great memories 😊

When I went in August 1996, it was just a pink castle. Definitely did not have all the toppings! Must have added them after we left, thankfully.

For me, the turrets are a bit too 'blue' at the moment but I'm sure those will fade in the Florida sunshine.

Here's a 'before' and 'after' comparison. I think the new paint job looks good and makes the castle "pop" more than before:

I’d read that the blue is primer. They will then be painted gold. Gutted if they’re actually staying blue. Although I guess they’ll fade quickly in the sun.

My first ever visit to Disney was the 25th anniversary with the birthday cake castle. I’m so glad I was fortunate enough to be able to go again!

The turrests are shown as blue in the artist's impression of what it will look like in the end, as posted on Disney's original announcement:

disneyparks.disney.go/bl...2020-and-more/

Therefore, what's there now is the final product - albeit the blue looks a little less striking in the artist's concept.
