Where to go!

We have visited other small towns in the Orlando area over the years. I have a few below:
Inverness
Mount Dora
Tavares
Anna Maria Island
Winter Park
Altamonte
Kissimmee old town.

Has anyone got more recommendations for a day visit?

We like to get out and walk around. Have some good food. Speak to the locals.

Winter Park is good for a short day out. Lots of quaint shops and cafes and restaurants, a pontoon boat around the lakes, a railway runs through the middle of the town!

Take a drive to Blue Spring State Park to see the manatee!

We've visited similar to you. Tarpon Springs stands out as a favourite. More Greek eateries than you can throw a plate at, sponges everywhere, eclectic shops. Well worth a couple of hours.
