Do you do OLCI?
Hi all,
I'm just hoping to pick your brains. First off I know room requests aren't guaranteed and in actual fact my record of getting what I request is dire but it doesn't stop me trying haha! So we've booked two weeks st Poly in a standard studio - woohoo! After taking Dibbers awesome advice before we requested top floor Tokelau when we booked our DVC room with member services. My question is therefore should I skip OLCI or do it as well? I believe the options are top floor, lower floor, by lobby or by transportation and you can pick 2? So I'm thinking if I pick top floor by lobby that will reinforce my request as Tokelau is nearest lobby? But then I read elsewhere to avoid it as you don't get any welcome home and welcome leis?! I'm totally aware this is first world problems haha but I don't know if to do it or not?! |

I do it every time without fail. We always get Congress Park which is what we ask for, after that I think they ignore things like upper floor etc
Personally I would do it.

We stayed at he Poly in April. I did online check in and requested top floor as we wanted top floor Tokelau like you. That's was exactly what we got. We still got welcome homes and leis when we went to the check in desk to pick up our magic bands. When we stayed at bay lake tower last year I asked at check in if we could have a room ending in 40 (we loved that view the year before), the person checking us in looked to see if one was available that day and allocated us it no problem, so if you don't get the room you want on arrival just ask if it's possible.

Thank you! Do you request the block via member services or is that now an option on OLCI for SSR?

Oh perfect! I think I'll do it then. How did you request your block, was that done via member services? Thank you. That would be ideal for us!

I do both actually. However they can only put us in Congress Park or The Springs as we use extra points for preferred area and these are the only two.

I thought I'd done it yesterday but when we checked in I was told I hadn't. It took about 5 minutes to check in so I'm not sure what difference it would have made.
We ended up in grandstand. Not an area I'd choose again but I didn't pay for preferred so maybe the best of the rest. |
