St Pete's Beach - hotel recommendations
Hi
We're off to Orlando next week (can't wait! ). Managed to convince OH into a night away on Gulf Coast. Was looking at St Pete's Beach and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for hotels for a family of four. Would love something on the beach front so we can watch the sun go down Thanks |

We stayed at tradewinds which was beachfront. Had tons of stuff for kids, walkable to restaurants and had a few bars onsite and you could also use the sister hotel, the guy Harvey further up the beach. Rooms we great with a mini kitchen and balcony overlooking the beach.

We also stayed at the Tradewinds and loved it! Perfect location and beautiful rooms, theming etc. It's right on the beach and they have hammocks and beautiful areas to watch the sunset. Also if you're up early enough you'll see dolphins in the water! Loads of stuff for kids as well, mini golf and a couple of pools

We stayed at the Grand Plaza Hotel Beachfront last year and really enjoyed it. We're only doing Orlando this year but I'm already planning in the Grand Plazza for next year

I've tried a few in St Pete and I would have to say the Grand Plaza. For me the tradewinds is a little to big, the Grand Plaza is nice and compact. It's got a reasonable size pool with waiter service and the best HBeach bar in St Pete "Bongos" that serves great food also. They have recently built a new decking area with nice lounging chairs that looks great.
Look no further, unless you have the money to stop at Don Cesar. |
