The price was the same as the TA but we went through a cash back site and are getting £50 back

Ooh yes, Quidco or TCB sometimes have good cashback. We have found it hit and miss when we've been paid though - nearly always before we go, but we did have one where it was afterwards. We also had one that didn't track and we never did get it resolved despite trying . They always state that cb isn't guaranteed and that's what they stuck to sadly!

Always a bonus though

Tink... I always just book online (via quidco for cashback!) and pay upfront. I didn't know you could pay a deposit when booking over the phone! Well worth knowing. Thank you!

I must admit I have always paid online too as often I'm booking two rooms so the cash back is good (if it tracks!). But we have a few holidays booked this year and are looking to go to DLRP twice next year so I'm thinking the deposit route might be best! It does mean you lose the cash back option though.

The chap that wrote that book has his own blog - disneyandmore.blogspot.co.uk
lots of interesting stuff on there about DLP and SDL. Also you can buy the book direct off him there, not sure if it works out cheaper.

I bought the book off him there some years ago and he autographed it for me.
