Disney cruise
Hi. Ive never done a disney cruise and have no idea about anything. Ive looked up prices but i still dont get it. We are a family of 5 not planning on going until 2023 but i need to have a rough idea on price.
All i know is we want a 7 day cruise as i wana go castaway cay. Standard room is fine. Has any families done this and how much did it cost. Around october time. Im assuming i would need flights into Orlando as im assuming it would leave at port Canaveral. Sorry i dont actually know anything haha. I know prices change and i know there is a pandemic i just want a rough figure on what someone else may have paid. Thanks x

We have been on several Disney cruises. Price really depends on cabin choice. We are a family of four (me DH DS(23) and DD (21) Last year we went on a seven night Caribbean Cruise on the Fantasy). We always book two cabins as the price really isn’t that much more and the benefits are huge (two bathrooms toilets etc). We book one stateroom with verandah and one inside stateroom. Price last year was around £3800 for both. Worth bearing mind that out of our last three cruises we have only made it to Castaway Cay once due to weather. We had a cruise booked this year out of Puerto Rico which has unfortunately been cancelled. Booked for next year for Norwegian cruise on the Wonder. Not sailed on any other cruise line and don’t think we will. Absolutely love everything about each of the Disney ships.

That was just the cost of the actual cruise. Tips, excursions etc were on top. Didn’t include flights or the rest or the holiday. With tips and extras cruise probably ended up costing around £5000. Cruise in 2017 was also seven night Bahamas cruise on the Fantasy. Cost was roughly the same tbh. Would definitely recommend two staterooms rather than one. The two cruises that missed CC were end of August/early Sept (hurricane Irma) one in October we got to CC.

You should be able to price up the cruise option on the Disney Website for around the time you want to go but next year as a guide. What I would say is prices do go up a lot every year (around 20% last year to this from what I calculated so who knows how much in future years).
As others have said you may want to go with 2 rooms rather than 1 room for the 5 of you just for the space. Currently for next year an oceanview for 5 people is starting at £6134 which includes taxes but as said not excursions or tips. I would recommend checking for package deals through people like Virgin Holidays as although they don't tend to do reductions in the cruise price you can sometimes get a better deal with the flight than doing it without (I found this last September). Oh and just to add a 3 or 4 night Bahamian cruise also goes to Castaway Cay.

We’ve currently got a cruise booked for 2021 (not actually expecting to go now) and it cost £3800, before tips, excursions and flights etc. That’s for one ocean view stateroom for a five night cruise (visiting CC once), but during school holidays, so I guess we’d save a little for only booking one room and a shorter trip, but would be paying more for school holiday prices.

We’ve booked a Disney cruise for next October (Halloween on the high seas) and paid around £2500. This is for 4 nights with one stop at Castaway Cay. We’re staying in a category 6B cabin on deck 5 with oversized veranda. We’re a party of 2 adults and a 13 year old. We booked on release day as from experience the cruises get more expensive the later you leave it to book.
Edited to add, the price is just for the cruise no tips/excursions/travel.
